FINANCIAL ANALYST & PETROLEUM ECONOMIST
Tethys Oil is looking for an analytical talent to join the team in its central Stockholm office. The position presents an exciting opportunity to work for a growing, international company in a rapidly evolving industry in a varied analytical role with input on strategy and corporate decision-making. The primary task revolves around long-term forecasting and valuation, and developing that function. As part of that task the position involves analyzing corporate performance, market data, and presenting it to both internal and external stakeholders.
In addition to the tasks above, there will be the opportunity to be involved in and contribute to the company’s strategy development, sustainability work and other ad hoc projects as the role develops and the company grows. The position will work closely with, and report to the CFO, but will also have a broad exposure to management, investor relations, board of directors, banks, and external advisors. The role is an excellent platform in which to grow and develop and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the on-going position.
We believe that you have a few years’ working experience from an analytical role in industry, management consulting, investment banking or as a financial analyst, but are also welcoming other backgrounds. We are looking for someone who has a relevant academic degree with excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint. We would expect that you have an interest in oil & gas and energy markets, though working experience from these areas is not a requirement.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you are analytical, driven, and open-minded. You have the ability to switch between focusing on details and overall perspective. You have great communications skills and are used to interacting with internal, as well as external, stakeholders.
