Q: What does Tethys Oil do?
A: Tethys Oil is a Swedish company focused on exploration for and production
of oil and natural gas . Tethys Oil’s main geographic focus is European
Union and Candidate Countries. The company has interests in exploration licenses
in Denmark , Spain and Turkey and a production license in Spain . The company
aims to actively hold a well balanced portfolio with oil and natural gas
interests in different development stages.
Q: What is the business idea of Tethys Oil?
A: Our objective as an independent oil and gas company is to create financial
value for our shareholders. We seek to do this by discovering or acquiring
oil and gas reserves which we can put into production and generate cash flow.
The ambition is to offer investors the possibility to gain good returns through
investments in the upstream oil and gas sector. Tethys Oil aims to offer
a well balanced portfolio of assets from a perspective of timing, development
stage and political exposure.
Q: When will Tethys Oil drill for oil and natural gas?
A: Tethys Oil intends to drill an exploration well
in Denmark during 2005. In
Spain discussions are taking place with partners regarding geological and geophysical
studies which could result in several drillings over a three-year period.
Q: For how long will the proceeds from the share issue last?
A: The proceeds from the share issue will according to plan last for a minimum
of three years. The proceeds will according to plan be sufficient for the
company to:
- conduct seismic works and drilling an exploration well in Turkey ;
- seismic work and drilling an exploration well in Denmark ;
- geological and geophysical work and several drillings in Spain .
Furthermore, the company will systematically analyse and evaluate opportunities in the company’s geographical core areas. The proceeds will also cover other cost such as administration, salaries etc.
